Stud is a slow card game that is played using a betting structure. In total, there are three betting structures namely fixed limit, spread limit and pot limit, but Stud is played using any one betting structure. These limits are explained as follows:
• Fixed Limit: In this limit, the betting amount is fixed and the size of the game depends upon the size of the bet. Before dealing with the first cards, every player places a mandatory bet which is called ANTE and this is usually, 10% of the bet.
• Spread Limit: In this limit, maximum and minimum bets are set. The bets lie between the limits or at the limits, which doubles when there is a variation. If there is a low limit in this limit, then there is no ANTE, but in case, the bet is around 25% of the minimum bet, then ANTE is mandatory.
• Pot Limit: All those players who love to have great fun by playing at higher limits; Pot Limit is the right table. This includes five betting rounds and the size of the game depends upon the ANTE amount.
The limit rules of 7 Card Stud Poker includes highest hand wins, three raise limit per round, cards speak and lowest up card as starting bet. So keep these limit rules in mind and play with a higher level of competition.
